Frequently asked questions
How does app blocking work?
Muslim Flow uses Apple’s Screen Time (Family Controls) the same system iOS uses for parental controls so blocking is enforced at the operating system level. You’ll need to grant Screen Time permission during setup.
An app won’t block / blocking stopped working.
- Open Settings → confirm Muslim Flow still has Screen Time access.
- Make sure the app is selected in your blocking list.
- Restart your iPhone. If it persists email us with your iOS version.
How do I unlock a blocked app?
Tap the shield screen take a short breathing pause and choose how long to unlock it. You can reopen it anytime you need.
Do I have to sign in?
No. The app works fully offline and stores your data on your device. Signing in (with Apple) is optional and only adds cloud backup and sync.
How do I back up or restore my data?
Sign in with Apple from onboarding or Settings. Your Quran progress rules and stats back up automatically and restore when you sign in on a new device.
How do I delete my account and data?
In the app: Settings → Account → Delete Account. This permanently removes your cloud data and cannot be undone. Local data is removed when you delete the app.
How do I cancel a subscription?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple: open the iOS Settings app → [your name] → Subscriptions → Muslim Flow → Cancel. Refunds are requested through Apple.
Notifications aren’t working.
Open iOS Settings → Notifications → Muslim Flow and make sure they’re allowed. Notifications are used to let you continue from the block screen and for rule reminders.
Is Android available?
Not yet. Muslim Flow is currently iPhone only because it relies on Apple’s Screen Time API. Android is planned for the future.
